World of Warcraft is a live service game, and with that comes daily and weekly reset for several different kinds of activities throughout the game, giving players a certain amount of time to complete them and a chance to repeat them for better gear to progress faction reputation. To ensure players have all the knowledge and details on WoW’s reset and what to do before it happens, here is when everything resets in World of Warcraft on both a daily and weekly basis.
Blizzard Talks About the Possibility of Bringing World of Warcraft to Consoles
Blizzard speaks on the prospect of bringing the beloved, long-running MMORPG World of Warcraft to current-generation console platforms.
When is the WoW Daily Reset?
World of Warcraft’sdaily reset happens at 8:00 AM Pacific (11:00 AM Eastern) for US servers, while in the EU, the daily reset happens at 08:00 AM CET. This is the lesser of the two resets the game has over a week. With this reset, players can expect daily quests, Heroic dungeon loot lockouts, and several other aspects to reset, allowing players to complete them again.
With the release of Dragonflight, a good chunk of daily quests moved to a bi-weekly reset, making it easier for players to complete more quests with less pressure.
When is the WoW Weekly Reset?
World of Warcraft has its weekly reset every Tuesday at at 8:00 AM Pacific (11:00 AM Eastern) on US servers, while for the EU, the weekly reset occurs at 5:00 CET on Wednesday. This is the more significant reset, which sees raid lockouts, world bosses, weekly quests, several world quests, and Mythic+ resets and starts a fresh week for players to undertake. This is also often when weekly maintenance occurs, and any fixes, balance changes, or tweaks to the game are usually made during this time.
After this reset, The Great Vault will also be ready for players to collect their reward for the previous week and their Mythic Keystone.
What to Do Before Weekly Resets
Knowing what to do in a week can be daunting when starting a week or when you’re new to WoW’s endgame. To help players along, here is a small checklist of some of the most important activities (as of Patch 10.2.6) to complete to get the most out of your week in WoW before a reset.
- Complete the Weekly Quests – Grant’s large reputation gains and sometimes items.
- Complete the Weekly World Events – Grant’s reputation with the appropriate faction and rewards such as chests and loot.
- A Worthy Ally: Loamm Niffen/Dream Warden – Reputation with respective factions.
- Professions Quests – Reputation with Artisan’s Consortium and Profession Knowledge for Skill Trees.
- Complete the current Raid – Loot, achievements, and weekly vault.
- Complete Mythic+ dungeons – Loot and weekly vault.
- PvP Quests – Honor, reputation, Conquest, and Marks of Honor.
As players complete these quests and activities, they will get better gear, progress their faction renown, work towards taking on different, more challenging content, and progress their PvP and PvE goals. No matter what players choose, there is always something to do in World of Warcraft.
