Florabelle, also known as the Blooming Maiden, marks the second Hero to join AFK Journey’s roster following the game’s official launch in April. According to the game’s lore, she assumes the role of a teacher responsible for overseeing Petalia, small mythical creatures endowed with supernatural abilities.
Surprisingly, despite her eventual role as an educator, Florabelle’s academic past was far from exemplary. As revealed in the “Tales,” her frequent truancy and neglect of homework made her an unlikely candidate for a teaching position at Jade Lake Academy. This guide offers an overview of Florabelle, delves into her skills, provides insights into assembling an optimal team for her, and evaluates whether she merits the effort of acquisition.

- Skill One (Overgrowth): Florabelle transforms a Petalium into a giant for eight seconds. During this magic, the giant will have 60 extra Haste and HP.
- Skill Two (Tiny Sharpshooter): With her second Skill, Florabelle creates Swifty, an archer who inherits 45% of her HP and 80% of her ATK.
- Ultimate (Pounding Blow): At the start of each battle, Florabelle summons the first Petalium, Spiny. Spiny fights the enemy with a spear and is resurrected after a 10-second cool down as long as Florabelle is alive. Later, she summons Smashy, which hits multiple tiles with 300% of AoE damage with a knockback effect.
- Exclusive Weapon (Protective Blessing): Once you Ascend Florabelle to Mythic+, she gives a permanent shield to a summoned ally when they enter the match.
- Hero Focus: Florabelle’s ATK increases by 10%. If two of her Petalia are alive, this buff increases to 14%.
- Enhance Force: With this skill, Florabelle’s giants remain immune to Control Effects.
How to Unlock Florabelle
Until May 9th, players can acquire Florabelle through Rate Up Recruitment. After forty recruits, she becomes a guaranteed draw. Refilling your Rate Up Invite Letters requires 3,000 Diamonds, totaling 12,000 Diamonds needed to unlock her.
Acquiring Florabelle comes with a notable drawback: her Ascension requirements. Until she attains the Mythic+ rank, Florabelle’s reliability as a Hero is compromised. Consequently, players must allocate additional resources to her development after acquiring her at a considerable initial cost.
Florabelle is not the most effective Hero in PvP. However, she’s one of
the best Warriors
for the Campaign, AFK Stages, and Challenges.
The Best Comps and Team for Florabell
An effective team for Florabelle is a lineup of Cecia, Damian, Berial, and Thoran. Composition-wise, an ideal spot for Florabelle is in the rearmost row, alongside Cecia and Damian. This team excels due to its significant disruption potential. At the match’s outset, Thoran absorbs the initial damage, allowing the summoners (Florabelle, Cecia, Damian, and Berial) to accumulate enough Energy for their Ultimate attacks. Upon Thoran’s resurrection, the team floods the board with dolls, shadows, and Petalia, steadily diminishing the enemies’ HP while shielding the backline Heroes.
How to Play Florabelle
As a Warrior, Florabelle should be played as a DPS. However, unlike typical damage dealers, she must be positioned in the backline, near Support and Healer Heroes. This strategic placement is essential because Florabelle’s primary source of damage comes from her summons rather than her direct DPS output. Thus, players are recommended to keep her in a secure position to unleash her potential.
Positioning Florabelle behind or adjacent to Koko’s tile can ensure her survival and prolong her impact on the battle.
Is Florabelle Worth It?
Florabelle isn’t considered a meta Hero, indicating that many compositions can function effectively without her. However, Florabelle is indispensable for players aiming to establish long-range disruptive synergies. She stands out among the few Heroes offering robust, dependable summons that divert enemy attention and gradually chip away at their HP. Additionally, these summonses serve as a protective barrier for the main crew against incoming threats.
