World of Warcraft Patch 11.2 Added a Secret Way to Skip Delves

Using a secret function of the Reshii Wraps in World of Warcraft Patch 11.2, players can skip directly to the end of a Delve, drastically shortening the time it takes to complete them. Using this handy trick, fans can complete one of these World of Warcraft instances in a matter of minutes.

When it released on August 5, World of Warcraft Patch 11.2 added tons of new content to the game, including the zone of K’aresh, the Manaforge Omega raid, and an open world activity called Phase Diving. During the campaign, players can also obtain a powerful artifact cloak called the Reshii Wraps, which has a number of special features that can be unlocked via Ethereal Strands obtained in the campaign and endgame content.

However, this special cloak contains a secret ability that can occasionally let fans bypass Delves completely. The second upgrade of the Reshii Wraps in World of Warcraft, Secrets of the Depths, states that the wearer can “now access secret rooms in Delves.” In practice, this means Ethereal Portals have a chance to appear in a Delve, or spawn while interacting with a Flickergate. By using these gateways, players can bypass all the normal objectives in a Delve and head directly to the treasure room, completing the Delve in a fraction of the normal time.

Once entered, fans will find themselves in the Ethereal Routing Station. This room will feature a special objective that can range from clearing the room of monsters to fighting one or more bosses. After finishing this task, players can leave the Station and complete the Delve without any further encounters. What’s more, the Nemesis Chest at the end of the WoW Delve will automatically be maxed out, even if one did not fight any of the special Nemesis elite mobs within the instance.

Fans have been delighted by this new feature of the Reshii Wraps. Though these portals don’t always appear, occasionally having the option to swiftly finish a Delve is a wonderful surprise, and a great way to fill out the Great Vault, with some players completing the instances in as quickly as three minutes. What’s more, fans like Twitter user Grox have been delighted by the secret objectives, such as one that threw him against both Zekvir and the Underpin, the Delve Nemeses from WoW: The War Within Season 1 and 2 respectively.

World of Warcraft confirmed Midnight will be launching with 10 Delves, as well as a new Delve companion and Nemesis. It remains to be seen if the expansion will include a skip feature like these Ethereal Portals at some point in later seasons.
