Wargaming Unveils New Game HEAT

Wargaming has announced its latest game, World of Tanks: HEAT, during Gamescom 2025. The studio has made a name for itself in vehicle-based MMOs, and it shows no signs of breaking that streak anytime soon. When World of Tanks: HEAT comes out, it will give fans a new way to experience the tank combat Wargaming has become known for.

While 2011’s World of Tanks may be what Wargaming is most famous for, the developer has released other titles since then. It launched the battleship-focused World of Warships in 2015, and in 2024, it unveiled Steel Hunters at the Game Awards, with the game coming out in April 2025. Unfortunately, Steel Hunters is sunsetting this October, but the Wargaming faithful now have another release to look forward to.

Wargaming Unveils New Free-to-Play PvP Vehicle Shooter World of Tanks: HEAT

In addition to announcing World of Tanks‘ biggest update in its history, Wargaming dropped a trailer for a brand-new vehicle combat title at this year’s Gamescom. On the surface, HEAT looks similar to the original World of Tanks, but it features fully customizable vehicles and pilots with unique abilities, adding a hero shooter element to the game. It will also feature 10v10 battles instead of World of Tanks‘ 15v15. There’s no release date yet, but fans can add it to their wishlists for Steam, PS5, or Xbox Series X and S.
