Impact of next-generation satellite technologies next hot topic at Rohde & Schwarz Satellite Industry Days

by admin

Following the successful conclusion of the first and second parts of the Rohde & Schwarz Satellite Industry Day series, the third part will take place on 13th December 2022 at 15:00 CET. Virtual sessions will include a panel of industry experts focused on the impact of next generation satellite technology. Attendees will be able to meet industry partners and key experts in virtual reality at the event.

Technological advances in the satellite industry have enabled high-throughput to ultra-high-throughput satellites in geostationary orbit (GEO), medium orbit (MEO), and low earth orbit (LEO). Satellite capacity has increased significantly and costs have decreased. Higher frequency bands (above Q/V band) provide wider bandwidth. Software-defined payloads allow upgrades and new features to be added even while the satellite is in orbit, providing flexibility to meet customer needs.

Technological innovation creates new opportunities and brings new technological challenges. Experts from Rohde & Schwarz, WORK Microwave, Calian, EUTELSAT and Airbus Defense and Space will be on stage.
