Google’s smartphone lineup has never been better, thanks to the recent launch of its Pixel 10 lineup, but the Pixel 9A remains a smart buy. It’s our favorite midrange phone, one that’s remarkably well-balanced in terms of hardware, features, and value. And thanks to Amazon’s October Prime Day sale, the entry-level Pixel 9A is available from Amazon for an all-time low of $349 ($150 off), undercutting its most recent Prime Day low by $50. It’s also available for $399 from Best Buy and Google.

If you’re in the market for a cheap Android device, it currently doesn’t get any better than the Pixel 9A. The budget-friendly handset offers a 6.3-inch OLED screen that’s noticeably brighter than its predecessor, making it easier to see in direct sunlight. It also now carries a robust IP68 rating, so you don’t have to panic over dropping it in water or dirt. And while its wireless charging isn’t the fastest at up to 7.5W, it’s a feature you don’t always see at this price point.

Meanwhile, the Pixel 9A features Google’s powerful (albeit older) Tensor G4 chip and 8GB of RAM, providing snappy performance during more intensive tasks, such as photo editing. It also features a 5,100mAh battery that can last through a moderate day of use with the always-on display enabled — whether you’re playing games, streaming video, or swiping through TikTok. Plus, despite its more affordable price, Google promises seven years of software updates, matching the same support offered to its more expensive flagship devices.

If you don’t need a top-of-the-line device, the Pixel 9A ticks just about every box. It’s not quite on par with the latest Pixel 10 lineup in terms of performance and features. However, it offers a comparable camera experience to the base Pixel 10 (minus the telephoto lens) at a much more affordable price. And thanks to the current $150 discount, it’s one of the best deals you’ll see during Prime Day.
