If your favorite skincare products don’t come in travel sizes, you can either decant them into those awkward, spillable, squishable travel bottles, or you can put them in Cadence Capsules. This spray in a cool recycled aluminum bottle protects up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit and, when I tested it for my guide to the Best Heat Protectant Sprays, I found its proprietary Bleu Molecule Complex—comprising time-released encapsulated sugar molecules—to be very effective for tamping down frizz. I thought it left a bit of a residue over time on my heat tools, but it’s not a deal-breaker.

I personally did not understand micellar water until I used some while writing my guide to packing your beauty routine for travel. Is it … water? Apparently it is, but water that contains micelles, or spherical clusters of molecules. In this case, cleansing oils. The micelles have hydrophobic and hydrophilic ends that help them remove impurities without having to resort to harsh detergents.
