Pokemon GO Teases New ‘Tales of Transformation’ Season

Pokemon GO has officially dropped the first teaser for the game’s upcoming “Tales of Transformation” season, set to introduce multiple popular Pokemon variants to the game. The massively popular monster-catching mobile game has seen a busy summer with Niantic bringing a plethora of new content to the game throughout the past few months. Pokemon GO has introduced multiple new Pokemon during the summer, including the Snom and Honedge evolutionary lines and recently adding Eternatus with the Pokemon GO Fest: Max Finale event. Now, fans won’t have to wait much longer for Pokemon GO‘s next season.

Pokemon GO‘s recent Max Finale event is expected to serve as a grand send-off to the game’s focus around the Galar region throughout the past year. Recent events have introduced both the Crowned variants of Pokemon Sword and Shield box Legendaries Zacian and Zamazenta, alongside Max Finale’s recent introduction of Eternatus. Pokemon GO also added the Dynamax and Gigantamax mechanic from the eighth generation of Pokemon games, allowing Pokemon to grow both in size and power. Pokemon GO is now gearing up to kick off an exciting new season for the Fall months.

Pokemon GO officially revealed the upcoming “Tales of Transformation” season Sunday evening through its official social media channels. The teaser trailer features silhouettes of several new Pokemon coming throughout the next season, including Mega Metagross and Gigantamax Eevee among the highlights. The video also hints at a new variant for a pre-existing Mythical Pokemon, with fans expected to be able to acquire Keldeo’s Resolute Form during the new season. Pokemon GO confirmed the timeframe for Tales of Transformation as well, with the season kicking off on September 2 and running until December 2.

Tales of Transformation looks to be an exciting season for Pokemon GO as the game leaves behind the Max Finale event. Pokemon GO has seen several rumors about future content coming to the game, with multiple ninth-generation Pokemon like Ogerpon, Terapagos, and Pecharunt rumored to be added. Niantic has already confirmed one new ninth-generation Pokemon coming to the game soon as well, with the upcoming “Sunkissed Shores” event adding Dondozo to Pokemon GO.

Pokemon GO fans should have lots to be excited about with a new Mega Evolution and Gigantamax variant on the way. Metagross is already considered a strong option for many players within Pokemon GO, even without its Mega Evolution added to the game. Keldeo is also seen as an effective Attacker in both in PvP and PvE content, thanks in part to its access to Sacred Sword as a powerful Fighting-type Charged Attack. Tales of Transformation looks to have plenty of major content in store to provide a fun Fall season for Pokemon GO.
