- Lifmunk’s Work Suitability
One of the Palworld Pals receiving immense adoration is Lifmunk, the Grass-type chipmunk that has plenty of use in the early game and later on during tougher missions. Don’t let its cute appearance and personality make anyone believe it’s innocent. Lifmunk is a silent assassin that can be a game-changer when properly built with a variety of skills. While it’s quite useful at base, with its ability to tend to crops and be a helping hand to other Pals, Lifmunk is best suited for exploration and serves as a wonderful sidekick.
There may be many other Grass-type critters discoverable in Palworld, but none can be more ruthless or deadly than Lifmunk. This may sound like satire, but its skills and abilities, paired with an unlockable trait, can be the difference between making it out of a tough battle in one piece or succumbing to a deadly fight.

Where to Find Lifmunk
Lifmunk Location in Palworld
Once the main area of the opening act is traveled, players will see different parts of the map become available, and this is where Lifmunk can begin to be seen.
Thankfully, Lifmunk can be spotted in many different locations, such as the Rayne Syndicate Tower, For Ruins, and the Marsh Island, which can be found northeast of Rayne Syndicate Tower.
Lifmunk travels in teams of two or more, with the occasional straggler straying away from the group. Luckily, many of the Fast Travel spawn points have Lifmunk running around close by, making it an easy way to catch a bunch and return to base.
Another effective method is for players to use the glider to explore Palworld more efficiently, traveling across large bodies of water in order to seek out and hunt Lifmunk. Be aware, though, that these little creatures will run away at the first sight of any danger, and they won’t stop running until they get away. They’ll even continue their escape route, even after being hit with an attack, which is different from most other Pals who engage in combat.
All the areas on the map above that are covered in yellow are where players can expect to see a Lifmunk, but be careful, as the further into the map a player travels, the more dangerous Pals there are.
Palworld Xbox Version Has 1 Unfortunate Restriction
The Xbox version of Palworld comes with an unfortunate restriction that doesn’t apply to the Steam version of the game.
Lifmunk’s Work Suitability
What’s Lifmunk Good at?
Lifmunk is an extremely versatile worker for the base, as it plays a pivotal role in multiple facets: Planting, Handiwork, Lumbering, Medicine production, and Gathering. Yes, Lifmunk can be just as effective at hacking down trees as it can be for producing medicinal products. It also doesn’t require a lot of nourishment, which means feeding this Palworld creature won’t eat up a ton of resources.
At Player Level 11, after catching a Lifmunk, its Partner Skill will become available for purchase, and it’s one that players won’t want to skip. At the cost of 5 Ingot, 10 Stone, 20 Wood, and 10 Paldium Fragments, players can take advantage of the Lifmunk Machine Gun skill, which activates the Lifmunk Recoil skill.
Lifmunk in Combat
Is Lifmunk Good in Battle?
Its unassuming nature, when found in the wild, doesn’t prepare the player for just how deadly this little character can be when added to the team. Lifmunk’s skill, titled Lifmunk Recoil, is activated when a player brings it out and lets it sit atop the player’s head. While it may appear cute initially, Lifmunk’s true danger becomes clear as it arms itself with a firearm and points it at anything the player targets.
The skill is activated whenever the player uses an attack prompt, as Lifmunk mimics this function by firing its gun at the target. The best part is that Lifmunk’s skill doesn’t use any of the ammo produced back at the base, so players can utilize this skill with no cost to production or materials. Simply equip Lifmunk to the player’s head, swing away, and watch as Lifmunk provides backup, serving as the perfect sidekick for any adventure.
