On the hunt for new smart plugs to upgrade your home automation? One of our favorite picks, the Meross MSS110 Smart Plug Mini, is currently marked down on Amazon. The 2-pack is discounted from $34 to $27, and the 4-pack is down to $34 from its usual price of $52. These plugs help add smart functionality to otherwise dumb devices around your home, like lamps or fans, so they can be included in your routines.

The biggest advantage these smart plugs have over other options in our roundup is compatibility. They’re primarily designed for use with Apple HomeKit, which means they’ll work natively with Siri and all of your Apple Home devices and automations, as long as you have a HomePod, HomePod Mini, or Apple TV for your base station. For anyone who isn’t in the Apple ecosystem, they also have support for Amazon Alexa and Google home automation, but there are other options that cost less for those platforms.

As far as form factor goes, the Meross MS110 has a familiar compact size, with the smart bits stretching out to the sides. That allows you to stack two smart plugs in the same outlet, in case you need to have multiple lamps or other accessories in the same corner of your house. They support anything up to 15 amps, which should be more than enough for compact devices like pet feeders, Christmas tree lights, or even a coffee maker. I use mine to control exterior string lights that turn on at sunset and off at sunrise.

While there are tons of smart plug options out there, we like the Meross MS110 for their wider support, which we think is worth the extra price of admission for Apple users. If you’re only on Google or Alexa, make sure to swing by our smart-plug guide, which includes a variety of picks, explains use cases, and has more information on smart-home devices and automations. If you’re not that far into your smart-home journey, we also have a beginner’s guide to getting everything set up, including guides for different ecosystems and platforms you might want to choose from.
