A new update is added at the end of this story…….

The original (released on March 4, 2022) is as follows.

A few weeks ago Samsung unveiled its latest flagship device at the Galaxy Unpacked event. The S22 series consists of his three phones Samsung Galaxy S22, S22 Plus and S22 Ultra.

That said, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is the largest and most expensive phone in the series. It has the biggest battery capacity and also features a built-in S-Pen.

However, like all other recently released smartphones, Galaxy S22 Ultra users have their fair share of bugs and issues, including: Camera shutter and performance lag When crackling sound problem.

And now Galaxy S22 Ultra users are complaining (1,2,3,Four,Five,6,7,8,9,Ten) Regarding abnormal battery consumption. Device owners say that the battery percentage can drop very quickly.

Some reports suggest the phone has worse battery backup than the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The Exynos processor variant may not be as power efficient as the Snapdragon variant, but users have had problems with both versions. Says it doesn’t work.

You can see how fast the battery drains in the image below.

Below are reports from Galaxy S22 Ultra owners complaining about battery drain.

Tbh, really poor. Once the battery is completely depleted, he has to recharge twice a day. If you don’t go below 30-40 percent (because it takes a long time to charge and you may want to stay on the charger for a short period of time), you’ll have to top multiple times a day. . It takes about 3-4 hours to go from 100 to 0 with relatively light or moderate use. Even with battery saving mode on, Wi-Fi all day, and 60hz, I couldn’t get more than 4. Everything else about the phone is great.. but the battery life is disappointing and when the battery degrades in a few years it will probably become unusable.

Battery life sucks compared to my last phone which I used heavily for 2 years. I have only had the s22 ultra for his 2 days and even with battery saver on it still drains much faster than my previous phone. There’s no reason for the battery to drain so quickly, especially when the screen is off. Location, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. are all turned off, but when I wake up in the morning, at least 30% is charged overnight. Lost. My old phone would lose 5% at most.

Since the phone is relatively new, it’s still unclear if the battery drain is related to a hardware or software issue. .

Nonetheless, we will continue to monitor this issue and will keep you informed if we come across any new information, so please keep checking this space.

Inefficient processes result in chipsets with poor battery and heat management. Both are affected by this issue, More obvious with Exynos’.

In fact, Samsung is working with AMD to develop a powerful GPU (RDNA 2 architecture), aiming to make the Exynos 2200 the most powerful GPU-equipped mobile chipset.

Unfortunately, the Exynos 2200’s inefficiency and powerful GPU caused severe thermal throttling during internal testing. This forced the company to: Decrease GPU clock speed (1.9GHz to 1.29GHz).

This is also why the Galaxy S23 series doesn’t use the Exynos chipset. Also, the high-end his Exynos chip is I will be back in 2025when the battery and heating issues are resolved.

Update 7 (January 20, 2023)

Reportedly, they only suggested doing a factory reset, then Recommended Users have to wait several weeks for their smartphones to learn their usage patterns.
