Samsung today announced the launch of the popular 4TB version. T7 Shield Portable SSDa new version has been added to the 1TB and 2TB size options offered by Samsung. First appeared in April last year.
The T7 Shield is Samsung’s most damage-resistant SSD, providing a durable casing that protects your device both indoors and outdoors. The shield’s housing is made of aluminum and has an IP65 water and dust rating, so it can withstand rain and other elements. It also offers crash resistance and protection against drops from heights of 9 feet or more.
It has a rubberized exterior case around the aluminum for even more protection. Also, its small size makes it easy to carry around, making it ideal for use while traveling. The 4TB model is available in black.
The T7 Shield offers read speeds up to 1,050 MB/s and write speeds up to 1,000 MB/s. It connects to your Mac using a USB-C to USB-C cable and includes a built-in thermal guard to protect against overheating degradation.
The 4TB T7 Shield Portable SSD is Purchased from Samsung website for $430.samsung also sells 2TB variant for $180, 1TB model for $100.
