I haven’t tested the battery life of the Galaxy S23 phone yet, so I don’t know at this time. However, we know the size of the battery for each device. The Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra have 3,900mAh, 4,700mAh, and 5,000mAh cells respectively. iPhone batteries typically don’t match competitors’ batteries, at least in terms of capacity. For example, the 14 Pro Max’s cell is 4,323mAh, which is significantly smaller than the battery in Samsung’s comparable Galaxy S23 Ultra. That said, the iPhone 14 Pro Max lasted an incredible 19 hours in the same battery test.
One area where Samsung clearly has an edge over Apple is charging speed. It offers up to 45W wired charging speeds on two high-end Galaxy S23 phones, while Apple says he only offers 20W wired charging. Both device families support 15W wireless charging speeds. Neither phone comes with a charger, so you’ll have to purchase one separately.

Both the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro have 6.1-inch displays, while the iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro Max have 6.7-inch screens. On the Samsung side, the base S23 has a 6.1-inch screen, the S23+ has a 6.6-inch screen, and the S23 Ultra has a 6.8-inch panel. If owning the largest screen possible is important to you, the S23 Ultra is a winner.

In terms of resolution, the devices are similar across the board. The iPhone 14 has a resolution of 2,532 x 1,170 pixels (457ppi). Compared to the base Galaxy S23’s 2,340 x 1,080 screen (422ppi), the iPhone’s pixel density is slightly higher. The iPhone 14 Plus and Galaxy S23+ are also fairly close, with the iPhone’s display at 2,778 x 1,284 pixels (457ppi) and the S23+ supporting 2,340 x 1,080 pixels (390ppi). Finally, the iPhone 14 Pro Max has a 2,796 x 1,290 pixel screen (460ppi), while the S23 Ultra comes with a 3,088 x 1,440 pixel display. The latter has the highest resolution display of any phone, with a density of 500ppi.
The base iPhone 14 and 14 Plus have 60Hz screens, while the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max have 120Hz Pro Motion displays. All three Samsung Galaxy S23 models support 120Hz refresh rate.

When it comes to video, Samsung has a slight advantage as their phones can record up to 8K at 30fps, but Apple’s devices are the best at 4K and 60fps. However, it’s worth noting that the iPhone supports Pro Res and advanced action modes for stabilization.
Galaxy S23 vs. iPhone 14: Connectivity
Don’t forget one of the most important aspects of your mobile phone: connectivity. There are some big differences here.
