JBL is adding a wide range of workout earbuds to its arsenal, with updates to the existing Peak and Run earbuds and the introduction of the Zone and Pace open-ear design buds. The variety of earbuds include open-style, sealed with ANC, and some inexpensive wired options, and cost between $24.95 and $179.95.

Sitting at the top of the Endurance series is the Zone, JBL’s first open-ear sports earbuds. They use OpenSound technology (the same found in the JBL Sense product line) with a flexible earhook design to keep them secure through a workout while still allowing you to hear your surroundings. Positioning of the 18x11mm driver minimizes sound leakage as you listen to music or take phone calls, and each bud uses two beam-forming microphones for vocal clarity. The earbuds are IP68 rated, use Bluetooth 5.3, and support multipoint connection, Google Fast Pair, Google Finder, and Google Audio Switch. They’ll last for up to eight hours on a charge, with another 24 hours from the case, and a quick charge of 10 minutes will get you three hours of listening time. The Endurance Zone will be available in black with gray and white and will cost $179.95.

The Endurance Peak 4 are the first of the Peak line to incorporate adaptive noise canceling with a sealed design and smart ambient, which allows for situational awareness when you’re outside biking or running. They’re also the only of the new earbuds to support spatial sound from their 10mm drivers. As with the Zone, the Peak 4 have an earhook for stability, and support multipoint, Google Fast Pair, Google Finder, and Google Audio Switch, and are IP68 rated. The earbuds use Bluetooth 5.4, get up to 48 hours of total playtime (with the case), and have six mics (three per bud) to help with call clarity and wind suppression. The $129.95 Endurance Peak 4 will be available in black with gray, purple, and white.

Another set of open-ear design sports earbuds are the Endurance Pace with JBL’s OpenSound technology, but these use a neckband instead of being true wireless earbuds. The battery supplies up to 10 hours of music listening or eight hours for calls, with a 10-minute quick charge getting you an additional four hours. The IP68 earbuds have two beam-forming mics for calls and use Bluetooth 5.4, as well as the suite of Google features the other earbuds support (multipoint, Fast Pair, Finder, and Audio Switch). They’re only available in black with gray for $89.95.

The Endurance Run 3 are magnetic wired earbuds with 8mm dynamic drivers that are available with either USB-C or a 3.5mm connector. The USB-C version supports hi-res audio and has a 3-button remote with microphone on the cable. There’s only a one-button remote on the 3.5mm version, which doesn’t support hi-res. Both are rated IP65 for dust and water protection. They come in black with gray, and the USB-C version is $34.95 while the 3.5mm version costs $24.95.

All earbuds will be available in the US next month.
