Internet Protocol (IP) and Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) are the languages that computers use to communicate with each other and go beyond the rules of the Internet.
TCP / IP makes the Internet act like a postal system.There is a list that includes ID of all devices (Opens in a new tab) A set of standard envelopes on the network and for packaging data. The envelope must include the sender’s address, the recipient’s address, and details of the information packed in it.
IP describes how the address system works, and TCP describes how to package and send data.
All computers get an IP address when they connect to. the internetaccording to PC magazine (Opens in a new tab), And they are all unique. You can find your IP by typing “what’s my IP” in Google. You will find that it is not very human friendly. It contains either a period-separated number from 0 to 255, or a colon-separated sequence of eight four-digit sequences.
You may also notice that the IP addresses are not the same. At home, you get an IP address from your internet service provider, but while you’re on the go, you might get an IP address from Wi-Fi connected at a coffee shop or from your company’s network. Business Insider (Opens in a new tab)..
How TCP / IP works
To load a website, the machine needs to know the IP address of the web server that contains the data. This is also a long string of letters and numbers and can change unexpectedly.
Fortunately, there is a second address system that can help guide your computer to the right place. This system, called the Domain Name System (DNS for short), gives servers a human-friendly name called a domain. Cloudflare (Opens in a new tab).. Web browsers can search them to find the IP address to use.
The computer can then connect to the server using the 3-way handshake. CISSP Learning Guide (Opens in a new tab).. First, send a message to the server asking if you are ready to speak. This is done by sending an empty envelope containing the word “Do you want to sync?”. It is written on the front.

Now you are ready to start exchanging data.
To do this, the server chops the content of the website into small pieces and wraps each in its own envelope. Write your own IP address, IP address, and sequence number on the outside. Cloudflare (Opens in a new tab).. The number tells the computer how to replace the piece.
When the computer receives one of the envelopes, it checks it and sends back a “confirmation” message. This means “I received the data, but everything looks fine”.
If the server does not return an acknowledgment after a set amount of time, the server considers the envelope to be lost or damaged and sends: IR technology (Opens in a new tab)..
Once all your data is securely stored on your computer, all you have to do is close the connection. This includes another 3-way handshake. One computer sends an envelope that says “finished”. The other is to send back a “confirmation”. The first one responds “confirm” and the connection is closed.
