Hot Tea Legacy Challenge Rules

The Hot Tea Legacy Challenge, created by Lxdice, allows players to experiment with wild romance storylines and attempt to complete all ten generations. Each generation must have certain Traits, Aspirations, Skills, and usually a career.

Players don’t need to own all the Sims 4 packs mentioned in the rules and can change things as needed. There are also several mods or custom content suggested for completing some of the goals, but nothing is required. Players can start a new playthrough to set the traits, or they can change a pre-made Sim’s traits using cheats or reward potions. To get started, players can do the following:

• Create a founder Young Adult Sim in Create-A-Sim.
• Customize their appearance however you want or theme it around Generation One’s rules.
• Edit the Calendar to include the following holidays:

How to Edit the Calendar in The Sims 4

Players can edit the Calendar and add holidays if they own the Seasons Expansion pack. Players can add, remove, or edit holidays by opening the Calendar and using the menu bar on the side; they can also add pre-made holidays or make custom ones using icons and holiday goals.

Generation 3 (Teen Pregnancy)

• Have a Teen Sim get pregnant
• Run away with their partner
• Make money as a Teen with part-time jobs, gigs, and scavenging
• Max the Family Oriented, Loyal, and Active Skills
• Complete the Aspiration
• Join the Athlete career and quit at level seven
• Have at least three kids (one girl required)
• Volunteer, go on picnics, and buy gifts for the family
• Complete the Holiday Cracker Collection
• Celebrate Winterfest

Generation 4 (Brotherly Love)

• For the first five days of Young Adulthood, work at the spa as a Nail Technician

• Marry the Sim
• Have an affair with their brother
• Become a B-List Celebrity
• Hire luxury services like the Butler, Nanny, Maid, Gardener, Ranch Hand, etc.
• Lead a prestigious social club
• Own a Money Vault
• Host at least two Charity Benefit events
• Celebrate Self-Care Day

Generation 5 (The Tragic Musician)

• Have the partner move out and take everything
• Move into a trailer

• Have at least one female child

Generation 6 (Body Artist)

• Woohoo with four Sims in one night, and get pregnant
• Drop out of University and join the Painter career or become a Tattoo Artist

• Host two Costume Parties and a Gold Spooky Party
• Spray graffiti in public
• Change the Sim’s hair color at least three times
• Woohoo in at least five different locations
• Be Friends or higher with their children
• Celebrate Spooky Day

Generation 7 (Man’s Best Friend)

• Leave the fiancé at the altar
• Live on an Off-the-Grid Lot
• Own at least four different animals
• Host the Ranch Animal Day
• Place Solar Panels and Turbines on the Lot
• Have at least one child
• Complete the Decorative Egg Collection
• Celebrate Flower Day

Generation 8 (Ride or Die)

Additional Rules:

• Begin Teen stage as a straight-A student
• Date a “delinquent” Teen and change to an edgier style
• Max the Mischief, Handiness, and Fitness Skills
• Complete the Aspiration
• Get pregnant on day one of the Young Adult stage
• Move into a one-bedroom house
• Reach at least level seven of the Criminal Career
• Date another Sim in the Criminal Career
• Have at least three Enemies
• Make a gang using the Club System
• Kill a Sim
• Have a total of six children
• Celebrate Fool’s Day
• Kill the Sim and their partner after completing the above goals

Generation 9 (Curse of the Older Sibling)

• Earn money through part-time and odd jobs, hacking, writing, selling paintings, and more.

• Have a family outing once a week
• Fall in love with the childhood Enemy
• Move in the childhood Enemy
• Have at least one child
• Give each sibling $5,000-10,000 to move out when they become Young Adults

Generation 10 (The Glow Up)

• Max the Acting, Fitness, and Charisma Skills
• Don’t make friends as a Teen
• Give the Sim a makeover as a Young Adult
• Become an influencer
• Join and max out the Acting career
• Throw a party
• Marry another celebrity Sim
• Own a Sleeping Pod
• Become a Global Superstar
• Take family photo shoots
• Fall for a fan or coworker
• Get divorced
• Celebrate Movie Night

Once players hit generation ten, they will have completed the Hot Tea Legacy Challenge in The Sims 4. Mods such as UI Cheats and MCCC make certain aspects of the challenge easier, but players can make it their own. As long as there is drama, the tea is piping hot.
