There are 42 badges that players can earn in PEAK with the latest MESA update, but of those 42, some of them in particular will be truly difficult to earn. Players who have these badges can show them off on their sash and through their outfits, and it might serve every scout to know which is the rarest PEAK achievement to earn so that they can climb mountains in search of these powerful new outfits that will prove that they’re superior to their fellow scout buddies and the scoutmaster himself.
Bing Bong Badge
Escape the Island with Bing Bong
- How to Get: Pick up Bing Bong at the crashed plane on the Shore and carry him to the Peak
- Reward: Propeller Hat
- Completion Rate: 16.3%
One of the most accessible Badges that players can get is the Bing Bong Badge, since all they need to do is ensure that one of their inventory spaces is saved for Bing Bong. This achievement is easily done on Tenderfoot due to the reduced stamina consumption and lighter item carry weight. However, it’s still not easy. Players still need to keep Bing Bong with them as they climb past every biome, reaching the Peak with Bing Bong to ensure this plushie’s safety so that they can get a cute Propeller Hat.
Speed Climber Badge
Escape the Island in Under an Hour
- How to Get: Reach the Peak within an hour.
- Reward: Haste Hat
- Completion Rate: 8.3%
Don’t be fooled by the completion rate of the Speed Climber Badge, for it’s far harder to get than it looks. The Speed Climber Badge is achieved once players manage to complete the game in under 60 minutes, and the reason that so many have completed it isn’t just because of their skill, but because of the Scout Cannon glitch that allowed them to start from the Shore and blast all the way to the Peak. With this glitch now relatively patched, players are going to have to rely on skill and gumption. The Speed Climber Badge will require players to be on Tenderfoot difficulty, and they will also need to rely on items to easily scale mountains. The best way to get this Badge is to start a timer once you load into the Shore, and speed through each level as fast as possible.
Daredevil Badge
Use a Scout Cannon to Cross Mesa’s Canyon
- How to Get: Shoot across the Mesa canyon in a Scout Cannon
- Reward: Stunt Helmet
- Completion Rate: 7.5%
Once players reach the Meas biome after the Tropics (when Alpine isn’t in rotation), they will need to avoid the deadly tornadoes, scorching sun, and sticky cacti to reach the canyon that gets in the way of the vertical climb ahead. Once players reach the edge of the canyon, they will need to pull out a Scout Cannon, but this Scout Cannon weighs a lot and is a random find from the luggage that players can find scattered around. Even after players get a Scout Cannon, they need to carry it to the edge of the canyon and hope that they launch themselves far enough to reach the other side without dying. Players can give themselves a little speed boost in the Scout Cannon if they place an item before they jump in and light the fuse, while also doing the Play Dead emote.
Balloon Badge
Escape the Island Without Taking Fall Damage
- How to Get: Reach the Peak after taking 0% fall damage
- Reward: Russel’s Outfit
- Completion Rate: 6.1%
The Balloon Badge requires players to clear through each biome without taking a single piece of fall damage. Players might be intimidated by this mission, but Tenderfoot allows for more generous falls before players take damage. Players can easily claim this badge if they just play it carefully, and only take routes up the mountain where they know they can safely traverse. Watch your stamina so it doesn’t drain too far as you climb, and avoid cluster bombs in the Tropics that will cause you to drop and fall.
Cool Cucumber Badge
Escape MESA Without Getting Over 10% Heat
- How to Get: Climb through the Mesa biome without having more than 10% Heat, which occurs during sunlight.
- Reward: Cowboy Hat, Cowboy Outfit
- Completion Rate: 4.8%
The Mesa biome can be in a mixed rotation against Alpine, and once players reach the top of the Tropics, they will see the scorching desert ahead of them. Throughout the entire Mesa biome, players will see a multitude of deadly obstacles, like cacti, scorpions, dynamite, and tornadoes. However, the main thing to look for if players want the Cool Cucumber Badge is the sun. When the sun is out, players will take Heat damage if they are not in shade. Therefore, players will want to travel at night or when they have a parasol or sun cream to avoid Heat damage while traversing up the mountain. This badge is all about safety and decisive action, deciding to travel only when the sun is down to make it to the top.
Leave No Trace Badge
Escape the Island Without Placing a Single Item
- How to Get: Reach the Peak and escape without using a single placeable item.
- Reward: Disguise
- Completion Rate: 4.3%
Leave No Trace is easily one of the hardest badges, as it requires players to finish the game without using a single item that can be placed. While players can eat all foods and open luggage as normal, they will not be able to use placed items, meaning Pitons, Ropes, Chain Launchers, and all other items that will be placed on the island must be avoided. The easiest way to do this achievement is on Tenderfoot, and players will want to focus on having full stamina, food, and Lollipops, as Lollipops provide temporary infinite stamina that will allow players to reach areas that might be inaccessible without a Piton or a Chain Launcher.
Megaentomology Badge
Get Attacked by an Antlion and Live to Tell the Tale
- How to Get: Find a hole in the Mesa biome and climb to the bottom to summon an Antlion, then take damage from it and escape by walking 10 meters.
- Reward: Scratch Marks
- Completion Rate: 3.5%
The Antlion can be found only in the Mesa biome, and considering the Mesa biome changes layout whenever it’s in random rotation against Alpine, it’s going to take quite the hunt to locate it down amidst the tumbleweeds, tornadoes, and scorching sun. Players can find the Antlion by locating the orange Explorer Luggage in the desert area before the big climb. This luggage will be at the bottom of a pit, and once players approach it, the Antlion will burst from the sand and attack. Players need to be hit once by the Antlion, and then they can crawl out of the pit and escape. Upon reaching at least 10 meters away from the Antlion, they will be given the achievement. Players should only attempt this when they have full stamina and a little extra so that they can tank the hit and safely escape without being dragged back into the Antlion’s mouth.
24 Karat Badge
Bring the Golden Bing Bong All the Way to the Kiln
- How to Get: Find the Tomb in Mesa and collect the Golden Idol, then take it all the way to the Kiln and throw it in the lava.
- Reward: Bing Bong Hat
- Completion Rate: 1.5%
One of the rarest badges to claim is the 24 Karat Badge, which requires players to get lucky enough for a few reasons. Firstly, they need the Mesa biome to be active. Secondly, they need the Tomb to be open, which can be found before the large canyon in a random hole within the cave systems. Inside, players can parkour through to get the Golden Idol, which takes up 50% carry capacity. This Golden Idol must then be carried through Mesa and Caldera to the Kiln, where players can cast it into the fire to get the achievement. This badge isn’t overly intimidating, as the Golden Idol provides immunity to all forms of damage when held, so it’s just about finding safe routes through Mesa with the limited stamina.
