Google’s latest Pixel phones are down to some of their best prices

If you’re on the market for an excellent Android phone, multiple retailers are offering some of the best prices we’ve seen on some of Google’s devices.

The last-gen Pixel 8 (8GB RAM/128GB storage) starts at $399 ($300 off) at Amazon and Best Buy, for example, but the real highlight is the Pixel 9 lineup. Right now, the Pixel 9 (12GB RAM/128GB storage) starts at $649 ($150 off) at Google, Amazon, and Best Buy, while the Pixel 9 Pro (Best Buy, Google) and Pixel 9 Pro XL (Amazon, Best Buy, and Google) with 16GB of RAM and 128GB of storage are both $200 off at $799 and $899, respectively.

If you’re on a tight budget, Google’s 6.2-inch Pixel 8 could be worth a look. Like the Pixel 9 devices, it offers seven years of software support and 120Hz display. It also boasts wireless charging and an IP68 rating for protection against water immersion. The camera system isn’t quite as great as the Pixel 9’s, but it’s still very good for $399.

If you can afford to spend a bit more, though, the Google Pixel 9 is the Android phone we’d recommend most people buy. The 6.3-inch phone offers a 120Hz OLED display too, but it also comes with 12GB of RAM and runs on the faster Tensor G4 processor. Its dual rear camera system is more advanced than the Pixel 8A’s, with an improved 48-megapixel ultrawide sensor and better low-light performance. Like the Pixel 9 Pro devices, the phone also offers a slightly more robust IP68 dust and water resistance rating.

Finally, the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL are the most capable phones in the Pixel 9 lineup. They offer 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage, along with a third rear camera (a 48-megapixel telephoto). Both offer sharper and brighter screens and 8K video recording as well. The main difference, though, is that the Pixel Pro XL offers a larger 6.8-inch OLED display, faster wired charging, and a bigger, 5,060mAh battery.
