If combat becomes too overbearing and the Prince takes too many hits, Elika steps into the fray and helps the swordsman regroup. There’s basically no way to kill the Prince, with Elika’s presence ensuring that players are essentially invulnerable no matter what threat comes their way. It’s an interesting design choice that many people didn’t agree with, although it does make the Prince’s adventures less stressful as players try to complete challenges and solve puzzles without having to worry about dying and reloading an earlier save.
