Fortnite has come out with some truly amazing collabs with Marvel over the years, with some of the classics being one of the most highly regarded and hyped-up events in Fortnite history. Fortnite x Marvel started years ago in 2018 and truly took the world by storm. Ever since, Marvel and Fortnite have often collaborated to bring new skins and outfits, limited-time modes, and even entire battle passes to the hands of fans.

Fortnite: Best Marvel Skins
Marvel has plenty of skins in Fortnite, ranging from comic appearances to the MCU, and here are some fan favorites.
The best Marvel collabs in Fortnite aren’t just the skins that appear in the Item Shop, but the strong history that veterans might remember from years prior. Fortnite and Marvel work so well together, and a list of Limited Time Modes, weapons to shake up the Battle Royale loot pool, and Marvel skins help to prove just why Fortnite remains on top.
5 Nexus War
Chapter 2 Season 4’s First Marvel Season
- Featured in: Chapter 2 Season 4
- August 27, 2020 – December 1, 2020
As collabs became more common across Fortnite, none could expect that an entire Battle Pass would be dedicated to some of Marvel’s best characters. The Chapter 2 Season 4 Battle Pass saw the Nexus War come to the Fortnite Battle Royale island, and with it, some true icons entered the game for the first time. The Nexus War was the first time players could own skins like Wolverine, Iron Man, Doctor Doom, She-Hulk, Groot, Thor, Mystique, and Storm.
The Nexus War didn’t just have an incredible Battle Pass still used by veterans to this day, but it also had one of the best live events out there. Players were tasked with teaming up with the Avengers and driving Iron Man-created Battle Buses into Galactus before he could eat the Zero Point. It was a real fun time to be a Marvel fan in Fortnite.
4 Deadpool, the Secret Skin
Chapter 2 Season 2’s First Marvel Secret Skin
- Featured in: Chapter 2 Season 2
- April 3, 2020 – June 16, 2020
Some players might have been a tad underwhelmed with previous Marvel skins, in which there was a mash-up between Fortnite’s characters and Marvel aesthetics. Luckily, Chapter 2 Season 2 was here to save the day by having none other than the Merc with a Mouth ripped straight from the fourth-wall-breaking comics into the lockers of those who unlocked him during this season’s Battle Pass.

Fortnite: 14 Rarest Skin in 2024
Fortnite celebrates its 7th anniversary in 2024, but within that time, there are still some skins that haven’t returned in over half that time.
Deadpool holds the title for the true OG, the first actual Marvel character to debut in Fortnite. Deadpool was a really fun part of Chapter 2 Season 2 and proved the potential for Marvel characters in the game. It’s just a shame he’s now forever locked behind a Battle Pass from 4 years ago.
3 Endgame (LTM)
The Avengers vs the Chitauri
- Featured in: Chapter 1 Season 8
- April 25, 2019 – May 6, 2019
To promote Avengers: Endgame hitting theaters in 2019 and becoming the highest-grossing comic book movie ever, Fortnite once again teamed with Marvel to bring forth icons of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Endgame Limited Time Mode saw two teams battle against each other, where the Avengers must eliminate 150 Chitauri players, all while the Chitauri must gather the Infinity Stones to disable the Avengers from respawning and summon Thanos to become the inevitable.
This was an LTM that was a lot of fun, as the Avengers had access to some iconic weapons from the MCU, like Thor’s Stormbreaker, Captain America’s Shield, the Iron Man Repulsors, and Hawkeye’s Bow. These weapons were incredibly fun to use around the Battle Royale island against the Chitauri, who had access to jetpacks and Laser Rifles to make for a balanced experience fun for both sides.
2 Spider-Man and the Web-Shooters
Swing Around the Battle Royale Map as Spider-Man
- Featured in: Chapter 3 Season 1
- December 5, 2021 – March 19, 2021
Movement items can be a tad annoying for games like Fortnite Battle Royale, in which players have the perfect exit if they dare get shot once. Yet, there’s something immensely fun about the mobility items of Chapter 3 Season 1, where players could use Spider-Man’s Web-Shooters to thwip away, swinging from buildings and trees whilst doing flips with exaggerated swagger.
Joining the Web-Shooters was none other than Spider-Man himself, who debuted on the Battle Royale island to those who unlocked him through Chapter 3 Season 1’s Battle Pass. It was a great time to be a Spider-Man fan, and both the skin and the Web-Shooters were immensely fun to see.
1 Infinity Gauntlet (LTM)
Conquer the Battle Royale Island as Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet
- Featured in: Chapter 1 Season 4
- May 8, 2018 – May 15, 2018
The first Marvel collab is its most iconic, as to promote the blockbuster Marvel Studios film Avengers: Infinity War in 2018, Marvel collaborated with Epic Games to bring Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet to Fortnite for a Limited Time Mode which saw a meteor drop into the Battle Royale map. Landing on the map was the Infinity Gauntlet itself, and those who equipped it were transformed into Thanos to return to the island and lay waste to every Looper on it.
Those who became Thanos would have the ultimate power, and a Victory Royale was easy to work thanks to powerful punches, beams from the Power Stone, destructive super jumps, and regenerating health and shield from eliminations. Becoming Thanos in Battle Royale was a true power trip and one that is sorely missed.
