The One Piece anime is at quite an exciting moment in the story. The Egghead arc is incredible, with Luffy and the crew doing their best to fight against the incredible power of Saint Saturn, and at the same time, the Navy, led by Admiral Kizaru. Some of the most intense battles have happened already in this arc, and some other events have yet to unfold. While things have been incredibly exciting for the fans, August 31, however, is not going to be a good day for fans of the One Piece anime. This is because the One Piece anime is going on a break yet again, in what has now become a somewhat common occurrence that’s left the fans perplexed.

One Piece anime fans will be incredibly saddened to know that the next week isn’t going to give them what they’ve been eagerly waiting for, and that’s because the anime is going on a break again. Ever since the anime came back from its 6-month break, the series has been going on breaks over and over again. These breaks happen too often to the fans’ liking. Based on the last few months of the schedule, they’ve been occurring, at the very least, once a month. Usually, during the break weeks, instead of a normal episode airing, a “recap” episode featuring Chopper can be watched instead.
One Piece episode 1142 was supposed to air on August 31, but instead, this date is now set for a new recap episode by Chopper. From what is known about this recap episode, it will see Chopper discuss the Giants in One Piece.
This is definitely frustrating for many fans, especially as the story is at an exciting point in Egghead. The wait for Luffy vs Saturn and Kizaru is going to be quite annoying, and it is now confirmed to push the new episode into September.
