Apple Watch Ultra 3 was rumoured to launch last year, however, the Cupertino-based tech giant instead dropped a new colourway for the Watch Ultra 2. Now, a prominent analyst, Jeff Pu, states that the third-generation Apple Watch Ultra will be launched this year alongside the Watch Series 11. The analyst also outlines Apple’s product roadmap for the next few years. The iPhone maker is said to pack a blood sugar monitor in its smartwatch in 2027.
Apple Watch Ultra 3 May Launch Soon
Jeff Pu of Haitong International Tech Research has suggested (via) Apple’s product roadmap from 2025 to 2027. The Apple Watch Ultra 3 is said to launch this year longside the Apple Watch Series 11 and HomePod 6 smart speaker. They are likely to be unveiled alongside the iPhone 17 series at Apple’s September launch event.
Further, the analyst predicts that Apple will bring the Watch Series 12 to market next year. The AirPods Pro 3 and a new Apple Vision Pro are also said to be set for next year.
Meanwhile, the first Apple Watch featuring a blood pressure monitoring system could debut in 2027. As per the roadmap, the company’s smart glass and its affordable Vision Air headset could also go official in 2027.
The launch timeline shared by Pu matches predictions from other analysts. Ming-Chi Kuo had opined last year that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 could be unveiled in 2025 alongside the Apple Watch SE (2nd Generation).
Apple launched the Watch Ultra 2 in September 2023. Since then, there have only been rumours about the Watch Ultra 3. Last year, the company announced a new colour option for the Watch Ultra 2. Notably, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman had earlier suggested that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will come with satellite connectivity. The smartwatch is expected to offer an improved LTPO 3 OLED display and a larger battery as well.
