How To Buy A House in New World: Aeternum
There are a multitude of benefits to owning a house in New World: Aeternum, from having additional storage space and the ability to fast travel home from any of the game’s many territories, to having your own space to decorate and make your own. While this isn’t available from the start of your journey, it won’t take long before you’re able to purchase your own humble abode.
To purchase a house, players must first earn one Territory Standing Point in their preferred region, and be at a minimum player level of 15. The first requirement is very easy to accomplish and will happen organically as you complete missions and defeat enemies, and the second is very much the same, but will require a little more time. Once you have both of these objectives ticked off, you can get to viewing and buying a house.
Houses are available to purchase in the various settlements scattered throughout this beginner-friendly MMO, and can be viewed by simply approaching the front door. You won’t be able to walk into the building, but when you stand at the entry you will be given the option to view or buy the house. Viewing it will allow you to walk through the empty building, which might be ideal before you invest your hard-earned money in it. Thankfully, you will receive a significant discount on your first home as an incentive to buy one.

How To Sell Your House in New World: Aeternum
If you are looking to upgrade your home to something bigger, want to relocate to a new city, or simply don’t like the house you purchased, you have the option to sell it. In this popular MMO, this is referred to as Abandoning.
To vacate your home, simply enter your house and go to the upkeep menu (L1 + Menu on PlayStation). From there, you’ll find the option to abandon the house. If you do this, half of the purchase price will be refunded to you and any items in the building will be moved into storage. Given the significant loss you’ll have for selling it, it’s best to choose your house wisely.
How To Buy More Houses in New World: Aeternum
While you are limited to owning one house at a time in the initial stages of the game, there are opportunities for New World: Aeternum players to own more than one home. This is particularly useful when considering the size of the map, as, if you position them well enough, you’ll be able to fast travel great distances with ease.
To unlock the ability to buy more houses, players will need to meet certain character level requirements. To unlock the ability to own a second house, you will need to reach player level 35. For a third home, which is where the ability is capped, you will need to reach player level 55.
