One ridiculously lucky Pokemon GO player recently pulled in a massive haul on a 15-minute Daily Adventure Incense walk. The Pokemon collected by the Pokemon GO player include not only a set of three different Shiny Pokemon, but one of them belongs to the elusive Galarian Legendary Bird Trio.
Pokemon GO first introduced Daily Adventure Incense in July 2022. The item is offered free once per day to all players, and it continues to attract additional Pokemon as long as the player keeps moving during the item’s 15-minute duration. Daily Adventure Incense works similarly to the game’s standard Incense item, though the original Incense lasts for an hour and doesn’t require the player to keep moving to attract additional Pokemon.
For Reddit user DecayMHW, a recent adventure yielded an incredibly impressive haul. Of the seven Pokemon caught in the 15-minute window, three were Shiny, including a Beldum and an Inkay. But the third was the most impressive of all, as the player was able to haul in a Shiny Galarian Articuno. Building a Galarian Bird collection in Pokemon GO is one of the toughest challenges offered by the game, as they’re not only a rare find, but notoriously hard to catch, and it took this player about 60 Ultra Balls and Golden Razz Berries to add it to their collection. Presently, Shiny Galarian Birds only appear on the map when players are using their Daily Advenure Incense, but there’s still no guarantee of them showing up, and netting an extra two Shinies in one adventure is nearly unheard of.

Players who are envious of the freshly caught Shiny Galarian Articuno can ease their minds a bit by learning that Pokemon GO has made catching Shiny Galarian Birds a little easier. While they still seem to have as low a catch-rate as their non-Shiny versions, the Shiny Galarian Birds introduced on October 4 don’t run from encounters, meaning players can keep trying to capture them until they either make the catch or run out of balls.
In addition to that good news, players may be able to circumvent the low catch rate at least one time, as Pokemon GO players have a new Master Ball to unlock. The quest to unlock the third iteration of the Master Ball isn’t free, costing $7.99 to begin, but completing it will grant players the most powerful ball in the game, which is guaranteed to catch any Pokemon it hits. Players who want their third shot at getting a Master Ball in Pokemon GO will want to act fast, as they’ll need to make the purchase and launch the game before 8 p.m. local time on October 11 for the Masterwork Research: Master Ball research quest to load properly.
