Every Call of Duty Zombies boss fight deserves a spot, but which are the best?
This list only contains Treyarch’s Call of Duty Zombies boss fights.
7 Sky-Eye
The Eye of Odin That Has Five Stages Onboard the Titanic
- Featured Game: Black Ops 4
- Featured Map: Voyage of Despair
The Voyage of Despair easter egg isn’t the simplest to do, and that makes it one of the hardest boss fights in COD Zombies when players finally reach to it due to the fact that the boss fight itself is five phases. It’s expansive and difficult, and it’s a tad weird that the final boss is a literal eye, which is most likely the Eye of Odin due to the Chaos storyline’s love of mythology.
The Sky-Eye is truly brutal, and its attacks are utterly deadly. Blasting the eye with explosives and avoiding its wipe attacks is challenging and fun as players must juggle the never-ending swarm of zombies and the eye’s attacks with the best weapons.
6 Avogadro
A Dominant Life Form That Controls Electricity
- Featured Game: Black Ops 4
- Featured Map: Alpha Omega
Entering into Alpha Omega, players are going to need to make sure that they are ready for a boss fight that is completely unforgiving. Players are faced up against deadly A.D.A.M. Units, as well as the Avogadro itself, which will continuously shoot players with lightning blasts that can easily cause them to enter into a game over.
The Avogadro locks players into tight rooms, forcing them to fill up soul boxes in claustrophobic areas. The Avogadro’s main boss room is fairly easy as it requires players to just shoot at it to force it back into the APD, but its jumpy nature and stunning attacks make it one to fear.
5 The Keeper
A Corrupted Ancient Being Battles Within a Dark Tomb
- Featured Game: Black Ops 3
- Featured Map: Der Eisendrache
The Keepers hold incredible lore in the story of Call of Duty Zombies, but what of one that has become corrupted by Dark Aether and holds the key to Primis’ success? The Keeper acts as a sprawling boss fight to Der Eisendrache, where players enter into a dark and cold arena with fire and brimstone, and of course, skeleton enemies that charge at them.
The pressure is on in this arena, and players have to work together with their weapons and hide behind pillars to avoid insta-kill attacks that will send them back to the lobby screen. Juggling the enemies and the Keeper’s attacks while trying to destroy it will provide players with a heart-pounding reaction at every turn.
4 Fury and Wrath
Zombified Elephants That Dominate the Gladiator’s Arena
- Featured Game: Black Ops 4
- Featured Map: XI
Entering into a gigantic colosseum, XI opens up with players enjoying the sprawling open space of a gladiator arena. It’s huge in scale and makes things rather easy considering just how much space players have to train zombies in and run from the boss. The boss itself is a gigantic zombified elephant, followed by a second and more rageful zombified elephant.
While players won’t be fighting these zombie elephants at the same time, it is extremely exciting purely based on aesthetics. It might be a tad easy as a boss to fight due to the elephant’s slow speed but brutal slam attacks, but it’s simply an impressionable fight that’s hard to forget.
3 Brutus
The Warden of Alcatraz, Stopped Only by Richthofen
- Featured Game: Black Ops 4
- Featured Map: Blood of the Dead
There isn’t an enemy quite like the Warden of Alcatraz, the community’s beloved Brutus. Brutus featured across Mob of the Dead, plaguing the mobsters as they attempted to leave the prison island. Much to fan surprise, the Warden returns in Blood of the Dead, where players can embark on a rather lengthy easter egg to finally do battle with him.
The boss itself isn’t exactly difficult, as players are mainly just going to fight Wardens in waves while waiting for post-Revelations Richtofen to spawn in and eradicate all zombie threats with the shard from his elemental staff, yet, it’s the importance of the Blood of the Dead boss fight that deserves credit, especially with the emotional ending of Richtofen’s demise.
2 Weasel
The Player Must Fight Their Friends to Break the Cycle
- Featured Game: Black Ops 2
- Featured Map: Mob of the Dead
Whether it’s against Weasel, or Weasel against the three mobsters of the Mob of the Dead crew, this boss fight is one of the firsts in the series and one of the most iconic. Entering into the easter egg’s final steps isn’t exactly hard, but experiencing a PvP battle in COD Zombies is one like no other, and extremely fun for friends to test their might against one another.
Can Weasel best the MotD crew and break the cycle, or will he once again fall to cause the cycle to continue? Mob of the Dead is iconic for so many reasons, and battling Weasel and the Mob of the Dead crew is filled with excitement and betrayal.
1 Nikolai Belinski
The Ultimis Drunkard Battles Dragons in a Mech Suit
- Featured Game: Black Ops 3
- Featured Map: Gorod Krovi
Gorod Krovi features a dragon-infested Stalingrad in the midst of a war that never ended. As such, navigating through its easter egg is as difficult as it is rewarding, and facing off in the boss arena will have players engulfed in flame if they are not careful due to the fact that they are fighting a dragon before the drunken Ultimis Nikolai.
Nikolai himself is present in a mech suit, and will barrage players with deadly attacks from his weapon, his giant robot boot, and the enemies he sends out. It’s also worth mentioning that without Quick Revive in solo, it’s an insta-kill. Players will need to bring an arsenal of great weaponry if they wish to stand a chance.
