Honkai: Star Rail Leak Hints at Exciting Re-runs for Version 2.5

A Honkai: Star Rail leak has revealed the names of two characters who will receive re-runs in the upcoming Update 2.5. Developer HoYoverse has already confirmed that the next Honkai: Star Rail update will add two new five-star characters, Feixiao and Lingsha.

Feixiao is expected to be featured in the first part of the update, while Lingsha should be available in the second banner cycle. Re-runs have become very common in the world of Honkai: Star Rail, and recent rumors have suggested that a new banner type will arrive in the first part of Version 2.5.

A credible leaker named Team Mew has revealed that Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.5 will feature a unique banner that will allow players to choose between multiple re-run characters. According to the leak, players will be offered two popular five-star units: Kafka and Black Swan. Previous rumors hinted that Robin was also considered as one of the choices, but it seems the new gacha mechanic will feature only two characters. The pity will be transferred between the two characters, allowing players to change their choices without losing their progress toward acquiring a new five-star character.

Who’s the Best Pick in Honkai: Star Rail – Kafka, Black Swan, or Feixiao?

Despite being released early on, Kafka remains one of the most powerful characters in Honkai: Star Rail thanks to a stacked kit. Kafka is an S-tier Honkai: Star Rail character who follows the Path of Nihility, meaning her kit revolves around applying debuffs. Kafka’s Ultimate allows her to deal Lightning damage to all enemies on the field and apply Shock, a DoT effect that scales with her ATK.

Black Swan is another Nihility character and one of the best DPS units in Honkai: Star Rail. She can inflict an effect called Arcana, which reduces the enemies’ DEF stats for three rounds, resulting in higher damage output. Black Swan can perform well even in a free-to-play-friendly team composition that includes three four-star characters. She also has great synergy with her banner colleague Kafka, and together they form one of the best DoT pairings in the game.

While HoYoverse has yet to officially confirm the banner order, it’s safe to assume that Feixiao will appear in the first banner cycle due to the timing of her announcement and her overall importance to the upcoming storyline. Honkai: Star Rail has introduced her as one of the most skillful fighters in the universe. When it comes to her power on the field, Feixiao is expected to be a Honkai: Star Rail DPS who follows the Hunt path.
