Unvaulted Fortnite Weapon Leaving Players Frustrated and Calling For a Nerf

Fortnite fans are calling for one unvaulted weapon to be nerfed because it’s reportedly frustrating to play against. Fortnite recently released the latest season for Chapter 5, featuring an awesome Marvel collaboration with new items and quests.

Titled “Absolute Doom,” Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 revolves around defeating Doctor Doom after he opens Pandora’s Box and absorbs the powers inside it. It’s up to protagonist Agent Jones, with the help of Marvel superheroes like Iron Man, to stop the Kingdom of Doom from destroying the world. Likewise, Fortnite players are given access to Marvel-inspired cosmetics and powerful weapons to beat their opponents.

One of the Epic weapons that Fortnite players can obtain this season is Captain America’s Shield, which is an unvaulted weapon that can deal significant damage and block incoming attacks. Despite how powerful it is, many frustrated Fortnite players are calling for the shield to be nerfed because of how broken it is. One player said in a Reddit comment that they lost many games because of the shield, saying that other players would cower behind it to avoid getting hit on the battlefield.

Fortnite Fans Compare Captain America’s Shield to the Ballistic Shield

Many fans are also comparing Captain America’s Shield to the old FortniteBallistic Shield, an Epic weapon that was introduced in Chapter 5 Season 1. Both weapons are able to block incoming attacks, but the Ballistic Shield includes a Pistol that fires projectiles without first shot accuracy. Meanwhile, some are convinced that Captain America’s Shield is a remodeled version of the Ballistic Shield.

This isn’t the first time that Fortnite fans have expressed their frustrations over an overpowered weapon. Previously, they criticized the Shockwave Hammer for being too strong, and the Kamehameha from the Dragon Ball collaboration event because it could instantly kill opponents. Developer Epic Games has addressed these issues by vaulting the weapons, and making sure to nerf the weapons if they’re returning to Fortnite. However, many fans still feel that these strong weapons can cause battle royale matches to become imbalanced.

Apart from Captain America’s Shield, Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 has other exciting weapons that fans should try out, such as War Machine’s Auto Turret and the Striker AR. These special weapons will allow players to feel like Marvel superheroes in their battle royale matches.
