Destiny: Rising is a new game, taking place in the world of Destiny long before the first two games took place. You are a new Lightbearer, this timeline’s Guardians, and you will need to complete missions to help build the city.

If you are looking to be successful in Destiny: Rising‘s world, which is filled with enemies, you will probably want some help. This means calling on other Lightbearers to help complete missions, and you will want to learn how to invite friends and use the friend menu.

How to Add Friends in Destiny: Rising

Adding friends will probably be the first thing you’ll want to do when starting Destiny: Rising. To do this, you will need to interact with the friend menu. This is the chat box button in the bottom right of the screen. If you are playing with a mouse and keyboard, you can also press Enter to open the menu. This will allow you to chat with friends, people who are physically close to you in the game, or your fireteam.

Next, you can select the second menu down on the right that looks like the heads and shoulders of two people standing near one another. This is the friend menu in this free gacha game. You can put someone’s name or their user ID (UID) into the search bar; once they are found in the search, you can select them to add them as a friend. Your UID is in the lower right-hand corner of the screen at all times, so it’s very easy to screenshot and send to others.

To quickly copy your UID in this story-rich gacha game, press TAB or the little ghost logo in the upper left, then press the arrow next to your character’s name in the upper right. This will bring you to your account menu; in the upper left will be your user ID with a copy button right next to it. Press the copy button, then you can paste it where you need to. You can also bring up an invite code in the Special Offers menu under “Spreading Light.”

If you can’t add friends, it may be because you are not far enough along in the game. You do need to finish the first few tutorial missions and get into the main city area before you can interact with others and add friends. So, if you are starting from scratch or you have decided to reroll your Destiny: Rising account, you will need to complete the first few missions first.
