How to Get Stardust Shards in Persona 5 Phantom X

Persona 5: The Phantom X offers a lot of ways to make your Phantom Thieves stronger, and players will need to utilize every one to make a party strong enough to take on the toughest challenges in the game. Leveling up Phantom Thieves and their weapons are the two main ways to make a character stronger, but the Mindscape can offer incredible bonuses long-term.

The Mindscape isn’t something you can grind to strengthen a character, and it will take long-term dedication to really see the benefits from it. That being said, it’s one of the few ways to strengthen a character even after they hit max level; here’s how it all works and how to get Stardust Shards.

How Does the Mindscape Work in P5X

The Mindscape acts as a tree with various upgrades that can be unlocked using Stardust Shards after the player reaches level 55. The Mindscape only exists on Phantom Thieves other than Wonder, as he has the Schema system. The Mindscape menu can be found when selecting any Phantom Thief in the Thieves menu, and the following Mindscape upgrades that appear are mostly the same for every character.

At the time of writing, there is no way to refund Mindscape upgrades, so every Stardust purchase is final.

The Stardust Shard Reward Screen

Stardust Shards can only be claimed daily in the Velvet Room Trials. Depending on the number of total stars you’ve earned between all the trials, you’ll earn a set amount of Stardust Shards that can be claimed daily. Stardust Shards can be claimed daily, with more being claimable every day during the daily reset of Persona 5 Phantom X. As you complete more trials and earn more total stars, you’ll be able to claim more Stardust Shards daily, so it’s even more important to complete as many Velvet Trials as possible.

The Player Claiming Stardust Shards

You can claim the previous day’s Stardust Shards for an additional 24 hours, though afterwards, unclaimed Stardust Shards will be lost.

Claiming daily Stardust Shards is the only way to get them, and purchases with Stardust Shards can’t be refunded. This greatly limits how much players can use this system, though staying on this system daily and always trying to earn more by getting more Velvet Room Trials stars will give you chances to strengthen your characters well beyond the max before this system was implemented. It’s best to only use Stardust Shards on your best Phantom Thieves, even if that means waiting to see who that is and storing your Stardust Shards until then.
