Demon Slayer is one of the biggest and most successful shonen series ever. Interest in Demon Slayer has especially been reignited recently with the newest movie, and fans are eager for any new content from the creator, Koyoharu Gotouge. Fans want Gotouge to return to manga, and she certainly did return recently, to the delight of many, but not in the way fans think she did.

Demon Slayer Mangaka Gotouge Drops a New Illustration

The Illustration Was Revealed In Honor of Black Clover’s 10th Anniversary

This year has been big for Demon Slayer. After all, the first movie of its long-awaited trilogy, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 — Akaza’s Return, dropped. Not only that, but this movie has been a smash hit success, breaking records and possibly aiming to become Japan’s number one movie at the box office.

That said, this year has also been big for another series, and that is Black Clover. Indeed, Black Clover was struggling in both anime and manga departments, but this is all changing fast. The manga dropped three chapters recently, and the anime was announced to return. Amid all of this, Black Clover also celebrated its 10th anniversary. This anniversary was joined by many various mangakas with beautiful illustrations.

Gotouge, Demon Slayer’s mangaka, was no exception. Gotouge also made a great illustration for Black Clover, which marked this mangaka’s return after quite some time.

Gotouge drew an illustration featuring the main character Asta, as well as Noelle.

What This Means For Gotouge And Demon Slayer’s Return

A Return Is Unlikely, But A New Series Is Possible

This new illustration from Gotouge has fans wondering if she will ever return to the Demon Slayer series, perhaps for a sequel or a side story. Gotouge is unlikely to return, as she concluded Demon Slayer back in 2020 and has since stayed out of the spotlight.

If Gotouge does return to the manga industry, it will be with a new series. Gotouge has previously stated that she would like to draw a comedic alien story. A return is likely going to happen at some point in the future, but for now, fans don’t know when that will be.

Where To Watch and Read Demon Slayer?

Available on Crunchyroll and Manga Plus

The Demon Slayer manga concluded long ago, in 2020 to be specific. The story is rather short compared to most other series, and only spans over 205 chapters. Fans of the series who don’t want to wait for the movies to drop can check the manga out on Manga Plus.

Meanwhile, for the anime, the series currently has 4 anime seasons. These anime seasons can all be found on Crunchyroll. The rest of the series will be animated into movies, for which fans will have to wait for a theatrical release. The release date, in this case, depends on their country
