Open-World RPG Where Winds Meet Locks Down Release Date

Where Winds Meet has confirmed that it will roll out on November 14 for players on PC and PS5. Developed by NetEase-owned Everstone Studio, Where Winds Meet is an open-world action-adventure RPG which was first revealed in 2022.

Similar to Black Myth: Wukong, one of the biggest hits last year, Where Winds Meet is another major release coming from the Chinese gaming industry. Its wuxia story revolves around the perilous journey of a young swordsman in 10th-century China. The upcoming RPG is the debut project for Everstone Studio and spent five years in development. Throughout 2025, Where Winds Meet has conducted closed beta tests and worldwide playtests, with the latest one taking place in July.

Where Winds Meet Release Date Revealed

In a new announcement, the Where Winds Meet studio finally ended the speculation around the game’s much-anticipated arrival by locking down its November 14 launch date for PC and PlayStation. It also shared that in-game items, including one of three cosmetic packs, 10,000 coins worth of in-game currency, a Lingering Melody draw item, and an Astral Trail Name Card background, will be available to those who pre-order the game. The release date reveal coincided with the release of yet another trailer, showcasing Where Winds Meet‘s high-fidelity world and focusing on bits of both story and gameplay. From awe-inspiring visuals depicting its version of Ancient China to the fast-paced and brutal boss battles, the trailer captures various highlights of the wuxia game.

For those who have enjoyed Black Myth: Wukong and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, Where Winds Meet could be another exciting RPG to keep an eye on. Notably, it is also set to come during an overall strong period for Chinese game developers, where big releases, such as Marvel Rivals, have more or less established the region as a future AAA gaming powerhouse.
